Above Average has been assisting with extra lessons in the child’s home since 2003.  We have achieved and maintained an exceptionally high success rate, with many students making remarkable improvement.

The Tuition Centre opened in 2008, offering the identical service of extra lessons with individual attention, at a more affordable rate. 

In addition to this service, Above Average Home Schooling Centre now offers a full time opportunity for children to attend the centre in the Bergbron/Newlands area in Johannesburg, in a supervised and safe environment.  Many parents are opting to home school their children, for reasons ranging from emotional, peer pressure, or large numbers in a classroom.  Qualified teachers and tutors come in on a regular basis to assist the children with all subjects being covered through the correspondence course – either in English or Afrikaans.  The children are registered with a variety of different institutions.  We follow the Gauteng school term dates, and children attend from Monday to Friday from 8:00 – 14:00.
